RED 12 by 12 Challenge

Interested in a challenge?  Your entries will be exhibited at the National Symposium held in Taupo in July this year.  It's being run by Aotearoa Quilters, the National Association of New Zealand Quilters:


RED 12 by 12 Challenge

Now is the time to think RED as we prepare for the Taupo Symposium in July 2013. Aotearoa Quilters are holding a RED challenge at Symposium with the idea the quilts are affordable. Take a piece home by a favourite quilter. These are quick and easy to make so encourage everyone to enter!
Think about: fire engines, lust, hearts, red roses, red marks on your school work, Christmas. The ideas are endless.
Only a small 12 by 12 inch square piece.
Conditions of entry
  • 12 by 12 inches square
  • open to members and non members
  • Quilts must have a hanging sleeve at least 6 cm deep and ending 1/2” from either end of quilt.
  • The works do not have to be three layers but must be able to be hung from small nails
  • entries must be predominantly red
  • all quilts entered are accepted i.e.just send your quilt in
  • all entries must be for sale and will be on sale for the same price as designated by  Aotearoa Quilters
  • entry fee is $10 per quilt for members and $15 per quilt for non- members
  • enter as many as you like
  • any unsold entries will then go to Hamilton Quilt and Craft Fair for further display and sale opportunities
