Our March meeting was a community quilts day. Which means everyone was working on donation quilts that will be given away - our most frequent recipient is Women's Refuge.
One of the in progress quilts. Luckily, we have our dedicated community quilts coordinator, Daryl, to keep projects organised and give everyone a job.
We did still do our usual show and tell, and here is Judith with a quilt made for a relative of hers. The stitching all represents something important in her life.
Shirley (in hiding), with a finally finished UFO made from hand-dyed fabrics.
Beatrice with a scrap buster quilt.
And another one. She swears that her scraps are breeding behind her back because despite her most valiant efforts with these two quilts, the scrap pile keeps getting bigger!
Stephanie was just finishing the binding on this donation bassinet quilt.
Elaine had whipped up this cute cot quilt to donate (it's flannelette, so super soft).
This is a pile of donation bassinet quilts made by club members for the local maternity unit.
And here is Judith again with another lovely quilt.
See you next month!
