I missed the last club meeting so I haven't got photos of show and tell. Instead, I was handed a bag of donation bassinet quilts and woollies for the maternity unit where I work. The bassinet quilts give a much needed boost of colour to the postnatal rooms and make the place feel a little more homely. We had run very low on quilts so a few months ago I put a call out to the club. The response has been amazing and our cupboards are getting full of colour and quilted love!
I'm taking a guess when I say the woollies were knitted by Jane.
The two quilts above were made by Gayleen from leftovers. I love the hand quilted, big stitch circles.
I'm pretty sure the matching kiwi quilts were made by Beatrice. Cute!
These bright batiks were leftovers from Imogen's stash. Imogen passed away a few years ago, but I think she'd be happy to see her legacy going to the babies.
I'm sorry, I can't remember who made these, but they look like orphan blocks put to good use.
Thanks everyone, the babies will be warm and cosy this winter.
Hi, I am trying to find a contact number for the Kerikeri Quilting club. Just wondering if you might be able to help me. You can contact me on landomolloy@xtra.co.nz. Thanks
